The Kansas River/Cesar Chavez bridge will close to all traffic on Monday, August 30, for repairs. The closure is required due to the weight of the equipment being used to replace a joint and perform friction plate crack repair. Work will take approximately 30 days to complete. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and follow detour signage:
