Parkwood Pool will open for the summer season on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12PM-6PM. Please join the Unified Government Parks & Recreation Department for music, giveaways and free entry as we celebrate the beginning of our summer at Parkwood.

Also, in celebration of Memorial Day Weekend, Parkwood Pool will be open for special hours this weekend only:

  • Saturday, May 28 from 12PM-6PM
  • Sunday, May 29 from 2PM-6PM
  • Monday, May 30 from 12PM-6PM

It's been a couple of years since Parkwood Pool was open, so we've outlined some frequently asked questions (FAQs) below for your reference. The water may start off chilly but it is sure to be hot in Wyandotte County this summer! We want to make sure you can make the most of KCK's only public pool.

No inflatables.

You'll have to leave the giant lounge chair with cupholders for another venue! Come as you are to enjoy Parkwood Pool this summer and leave the inflatables at home. We want to make sure we have room for as many people as possible who want to cool off this summer.

No glass.

With people walking around in flip flops, sandals, or barefoot, you don't want to cut yourself on broken glass. All glass bottles and containers should be left at home in your refrigerator or at the recycling center.

picnic-01.png

No food poolside.

Outside food is only allowed in the concession area. So if you come with your own picnic, save your snacking for the concession area. We are working on a few details to have some on-site snack options so stay tuned!

balloons-01.png

No balloons.

We want you to celebrate you at Parkwood Pool but you'll have to leave the balloons at home. Balloons can create unintentional litter and block drains - which could cause a few problems at the pool. Help us keep Parkwood Pool clean for a summer of fun.

Can I host a private event at Parkwood Pool?

No, Parkwood Pool is open to the public and is not available for private reservations
