UG Employee Receives Nationally Recognized Procurement Award

Today, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) is excited to announce UG Procurement Buyer, Kelly Regan was awarded the Nationally Recognized “Above and Beyond” award from the National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP) Organization.
During the month of March, which is National Procurement Month, The National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NCPP) highlights amazing professionals in public procurement throughout the United States who exceed their normal day to day duties. A total of 15 awardees are chosen each year and showcased in the NCPP newsletter and website. Kelly was nominated by his peers for his constant hard work, sharing of best practices, and navigating various projects while always providing high quality customer service.
“Kelly, who has been in public service for 44 years has been an amazing asset for the UG Procurement Department,” said Unified Government Procurement Director, Sharon Reed. “Receiving this recognition is the testament of his integrity, commitment, and dedication he consistently delivers to his departments and the organization. Kelly carries himself with impeccable leadership and professionalism and is sought for guidance and direction by his colleagues.”
Kelly is a member of the National Institute of Government Procurement and earned his Certified Professional Public Buyer Certification in 2015.
