Residents in the Trash & Recycling Carts Pilot Program area are invited to complete a short survey and share their experiences with the new carts. The survey is open now through November 1, 2025.

The Carts Pilot Program, launched earlier this year, provides standardized trash and recycling carts to households in a select area. The program is designed to improve collection efficiency, reduce litter, and create a more consistent service across neighborhoods.

Survey postcards were mailed to a sample of households in the program area to keep costs down. However, all residents in the area are welcome to participate by completing the survey online at wycokck.org/CartsSurvey. Those who prefer a paper copy may call 3-1-1 to request one by mail.

“Resident feedback is essential to making this program successful,” said Diana Miles, Solid Waste Manager. “The pilot is helping us learn what works well and what could be improved, so we can make better decisions before expanding carts to Phase 2. We encourage every household in the pilot area to take a few minutes to share their experience.”

Results from the survey will help guide the next phases of the program and ensure that the final system best meets the needs of the community. To learn more about this program and see the Phase 1 area, visit the Trash & Recycling Carts Pilot Program webpage.
