UG to provide free shuttles to Super Bowl Parade from 47th/State

Kansas City, KS – For the second year in a row, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas (UG) will be providing FREE transportation services from Kansas City, Kansas (KCK) to Kansas City, Missouri (KCMO) for community members attending the 11AM Chiefs’ Super Bowl Parade in Downtown KCMO.

Buses will be available at 47th and State Avenue from 7:00AM to 10:30AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, for drop-off to the Hy-Vee Arena in KCMO, where passengers will make a transfer to Ride KC buses heading to 18th and Troost. Return trips to KCK from 18th and Troost to the Hy-Vee Arena will run from 1PM until 5PM.

Last year, more than 2,700 passengers rode from KCK to the parade.

Transportation and Parking at 47th/State in KCK

Super Bowl Parade Shuttle 2024.png 47th and State is host to the regional transit center and is easily accessible via public transit. Ample parking is available via 47th Street off State Avenue. Individuals arriving by public transportation can easily access the 47th Street Transit Center via 101 State Avenue, 102 Central Avenue, 106 Quindaro Avenue, 107 7th Street, 113 Leavenworth Road, and 116 West Parallel. Midtown Microtransit services are also available to this location. You can reserve a ride from within the service area to 47th and State (Parallel Parkway to Metropolitan Ave. (North to South points), South 42nd to South 78th Street (East to West points). Microtransit fair is $3.00 per person per ride can be paid through the IRIS Mobile App, the IRIS Booking Website, or by calling our dispatch center at (913) 573-83 51. Ride a Bike to the Parade

RideKC Bike is also available for easy transportation to the parade. Grab an electric bike and ride to the parade from the Municipal Building in Downtown KCK or any of the Rosedale bike hubs. Download the app and register to use the bike. Walk-up registration is $1.00 to unlock and 15 cents per minute. More information available on ridekcbike.com
