Tax Rebate Program Update & Reminder

The Unified Government is accepting applications for the various 2023 tax rebate programs: BPU PILOT Relief, Property Tax Rebates, Utility Tax Rebates, and Sales Tax Rebate. Hosting appointments in venues across the county, the Office of the Clerk has already processed $136,007.17 in payments to qualified applicants.

The Clerk's Office reports the following participation in the 2023 Tax Rebate Program by each location:

• Municipal Building: 228 applications received with approximately two-thirds processed resulting in $25,463.63 in utility rebates; $29,500 in sales tax rebates; and $67,700.27 in property tax rebates.
• Argentine: 7 applications received and processed for $1,148 in utility rebates; $1,200 in sales tax rebates. No property tax rebates have been processed.
• Area Agency on Aging: 11 applications received and processed for $1,863.24 in utility tax rebates and $2,200 in sales tax rebates. No property tax rebates have been processed.
• Turner: Canceled due to weather.
• Eisenhower Community Center: 16 applications received and processed resulting in $2,290.91 in utility tax rebates; $2,600 in sales tax rebates; and $2,030.12 in property tax rebates.
• Annex: Reporting being finalized.

To date, a total of 262 applications have been received with 181 utility and sales tax applications processed for payment. The total rebates by program are:

• Utility Tax Rebate: $30,766.78
• Sales Tax Rebate: $35,500.00
• Property Tax Rebate: $69,730.39
