The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas (UG) has partnered with community organization Mt. Carmel Redevelopment Corporation this year to manage and operate a temporary KCK Cold Weather Overnight Shelter.

This year the overnight shelter will be at the Wilhelmina "Willa" Gill Multi-Service Center (645 Nebraska Ave, Kansas City, KS 66101). This service will be available to those in need on nights when the temperature is 25 degrees Fahrenheit or below. Guests will be allowed to begin lining up at the shelter at 5:00 PM, with shelter doors opening at 6:00 PM.

The expected maximum capacity of the shelter will be 40 adults, and available beds will be first come, first served.

Determination whether the shelter will be open for the evening will be made by 8:00 AM each day, and the information will be available by calling 913-621-4690.
