Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District Advisory Board

Also known as the Kansas City, Kansas Downtown Improvement District (KCKDID) is comprised of property owners in the Downtown Shareholders’ KCK service area. The Downtown Shareholders’ KCK Board has fiscal oversight. The director of the Downtown Shareholders also works with the SSMID/DID Board.

Duties

• Creates a unified voice for Downtown KCK
• Provides a cleaner and safer environment
• Heightens consumer and investor interest
• Increases sales and property values
• Provides private sector control and accountability
• Creates a reliable source of funding
• Attracts and retains businesses
• Enables stakeholders to decide which services to provide to meet our district’s unique needs
