K-State Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB)

K-State TAB is a national program funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EO=PA) that provides free assistance to communities redeveloping brownfields. TABS offers educational webinars, online tools, grant review support, and self-paced courses to local governments, tribes, nonprofits, and community members. TAB is a great place to start to build your knowledge of brownfields. For more information, you can contact TAB staff at 785-200-7005.

Heartland Environmental Justice (HEJC) Center

The HEJC provides resources and support to communities experiencing environmental injustices. This includes grant development, education and outreach, project planning, budget development, and coalition building. Their partners include the Climate and Energy Project, Community Engineering Corps, the Environmental Protection Network, and K-State Extension. kNOw Lead KCK

kNOw Lead KCK is a lead abatement program funded by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and facilitated by UG Public Health Department. The program covers replacement of windows, doors, trim, paint, and soil contaminated by lead. Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Brownfields Program

The KDHE Brownfields Program provides grants to eligible entities for Phase I and Phase II assessments. The application period is open year round and applications to the grant program can be submitted on a rolling basis. EPA Brownfields Program
