How does Pink the Dotte Work?

Our local Pink the Dotte services are part of the Kansas Early Detection Works (EDW) program. EDW helps eligible Kansans receive breast and cervical cancer screenings at no cost.

When women visit our Family Planning clinic or community outreach events, we provide education about breast and cervical health and assess patients for the need for early detection screening services. Women due for yearly breast or cervical screenings are then referred to the Certified Breast Health Patient Navigator, who will ensure they get the services they need and follow them through the continuum of care.

Who is Eligible for Pink the Dotte?

You are eligible to enroll in EDW if you:

• Live in Kansas
• Are between the ages of 40 and 64 for breast cancer screenings (under age 40 with breast concern - must be approved by EDW)
• Are between the ages of 21 and 64 for cervical cancer screenings (under age 21 with cervical concern - must be approved by EDW)
• Do not have health insurance
• Have a family income or equal to or less than the amounts on the following table, before taxes:
