2022 Downtown Holiday Lighting Festival


You are cordially invited to join the Unified Government for the 2022 Mayor’s Downtown Holiday Lighting Festival! This traditional event will be held in person at City Hall 701 N. 7th St. on Friday, November 18th! We are so excited to welcome families back to downtown KCK and kick off the holiday season together. 

Please share this save the date with your school administrators, parents, residents, neighborhood groups, and community partners. We’re excited to have free giftbags, live entertainment, Mr. & Mrs. Claus, free hot chocolate, food trucks, games, and so much more. 

-Line-up for Santa, starting at 4PM.
-Tree lighting at 6:30PM

FREE Goodie bags will be distributed to the first 1,000 children.

Join us for a holiday experience like none other that includes:
  • Free hot chocolate and apple cider!
  • Face painting! Crafts! 360 Photobooth!
  • Food Trucks & local vendors!
  • Holiday movies and popcorn in the Commission Chamber!
  • Choir selections from Central Middle School & Schlagle High School!
  • Live entertainment from RoseMarie’s Mexicana Fiesta, Gateway Highsteppers Drill Team, KCK Community Orchestra, Salvation Army Brass Band, and more!!!



Please note the designated parking locations for this event, which include:

  • Upper Lot E behind the public health department
  • Lot 3 across the street on Barnett Ave.
  • Lot C just north on Armstrong Ave.
  • Street parking
