Bi-State Sustainable Reinvestment Corridor Public Meeting

Bi-State Corridor Meeting_2025.02.25.jpg

The Mid-America Regional Council is coordinating a long-term multi-jurisdictional strategy to support infrastructure, transportation, and economic development along a 24-mile corridor connecting four cities: Independence, Sugar Creek, and Kansas City, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan.

This project area is made up of diverse communities of people and businesses with unique needs. From densely populated urban centers and metropolitan attractions to small town historic communities and industrial areas, the corridor represents tremendous potential to connect people to transportation, housing, health care, employment, and education opportunities. Join the project team at an in-person, open house public meeting for updates on where the project stands.

  • Learn about and provide feedback on new potential transit options from east to west along the corridor and how communities can benefit.
  • Hear more about how a holistic approach to regional development that prioritizes sustainable transportation, renewable energy, and community safety can foster long-term growth and improved quality of life across the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The project team is committed to providing equal access to this event for all participants. If you need reasonable accommodation, please email lara@parsonkc.com at least 48 hours in advance. Public transportation is available via RideKC bus routes including 101, 102, 106, 113 and 116.
