The weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer – it’s time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine – and Wyandotte County Parks & Recreation is here to help!

Wyandotte Parks & Rec has just published its Spring & Summer Parks & Recreation Guide, which is a comprehensive guide to all of its activities and amenities throughout the County. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to fish, a game of basketball or golf, or if you want to learn some new arts and crafts, you can find it in the new Summer Guide. Download the guide today.

Some of the things you can find in the Summer Guide include:

  • A complete listing of Wyandotte County Community Centers and the amenities at each facility.
    • Want to reserve a Community Center? Call (913) 573-8327 to check on availability or to get more information.
    • Parks & Rec is always looking for new, exciting classes for its community centers! If you are interested in teaching a class at any of WyCo’s community centers, contact Shelly Burnett at (913) 573-8329.
  • Rental hall information
    • These halls are great for wedding receptions, family reunions or business meetings. For more information call (913) 573-8327.               
  • Fishing and Boating information -fishing and boating season is NOW through November 30th!
  • Shelter information – the guide contains a complete list of shelters, including information on which shelters have which amenities.
  • Information on activities and sports – these include spray parks, youth summer activities, basketball play and tournament, plus crafts for adults such as quilting and ceramics and much, much more!

And now, Wyandotte County residents have a new way to sign up and pay for Parks & Rec activities, called CIVICREC®. CIVICREC® is a new mobile-friendly, digital platform that gives Wyandotte County residents easier access to activities and programs, plus more convenient online registration and payment options.
