Due to the recent policy changes at X (formerly known as Twitter), the Unified Government has deactivated our social media account to focus on our website as the primary source of information for our community.
Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter, we have noticed our posts do not perform well and simply do not have the reach to justify the level of effort needed to break through on this channel. The introduction of new paywalls make content less accessible and are a barrier to entry for potential audiences.
We will continue to focus on our other social media channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Nextdoor, LinkedIn, and Instagram (early days!), as we launch our forthcoming social media policy and accompanying training.
