Tenant's Rights & Responsibilities Toolkit Training (Non-Profit Org.)
Non-Profit Organizations and community leaders are invited to attend the "Tenant's Rights & Responsibilities Toolkit Training for Non-Profit Organizations" at the NRC on September 27th, 2022 from noon - 1:00pm.
As part of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Safe and Affordable Housing, this event is being hosted by the following sponsors:
- Cross Lines Community Outreach, Inc.
- Unified Government Public Health Department
- Livable Neighborhoods Task Force
- Kansas Legal Services
This training will focus on how non-profit staff and resource navigators can use the toolkit. This free event will include lunch and a copy of the full toolkit.
At the end of the training participants will be able to:
- Recognize rights protecting tenants throughout the rental process under the State of Kansas
- Describe the responsibilities of the tenant to the space, landlord, and neighbors, and
- Identify helpful community resources and tips to support Wyandotte County tenants
